Kate Mayer (Leslie Hope) is a working mother of two, who separates from
her husband when she realises that after 5 years of counselling, their marriage cannot be resurrected because they no longer
love each other.
As Kate adapts to the changes in her life, she realises she
must re-enter the workforce, and she lands a new job at a Real Estate office. There she meets her new female boss
McNally ('Mac') Hayes (Wendy Crewson).
When Kate and McNally become friends, Kate discovers that McNally
has also suffered a traumatic loss - the death of her female lover several years earlier. And as Kate finds comfort in her
friendship with McNally, she begins to develop an unexpected attraction toward her.
